Rams are close to being in first place in the West...

The Rams needed a little luck today if they wanted to enter San Francisco next week as the top team in the NFC West. First, they needed Minnesota to pull off a win over the Arizona Cardinals, and the Vikings were able to do just that, beating the Cardinals 27-24 in overtime.

The second round of luck that the Rams were hoping for was a New York Giants victory over the Seattle Seahawks. That game is looking good so far for the Rams, as the Giants are currently leading Seattle 35-0.

Barring any miracles in Seattle, the Rams will be tied for the best record in the division with Seattle, but the Rams own the tie-breaker, since they beat Seattle head-to-head. UPDATE: Seattle loses to New York 42-7, making the Rams the first place team in the West.
